Peri is an independent Brazilian artist. His project Homem Refluxo [Reflux Man] began in 2003 from the idea of storing for a week all of his solid waste in a transparent plastic coat designed by the artist Marina Reis. The coat was called ‘parangolixoluxo,’ in honor of Hélio Oiticica’s Parangolés. This performance took place on the streets of São Paulo for seven days and was recorded on video and in a book-diary. The result of it was exhibited at Sesc Vila Mariana. Since then, the project has been through several developments and was presented in many different cities throughout Brazil.
