Helio Mattar

CEO of Instituto Akatu

Founder and CEO of Instituto Akatu, Helio holds a degree in Production Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP, a master’s and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. He has been working as an executive for 22 years in national and multinational companies, as well as in his own businesses. He is a member of the One Planet Network councils, a project from the United Nations Environment, chipping in on consumer information and education for sustainability. He is also a member of the sustainable development councils of companies such as Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Ypê, Dow and L’Oréal. Besides that, he is the co-founder and currently associate curator of Instituto Ethos.
