Restauratrice, activist and vice president of Slow Food

Chef, author and culinary activist, Alice Waters is the founder and owner of the Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley (United States). In 2015, she received from President Barack Obama the National Humanities Medal from the US government, proving that food is a way to ensure change and social justice. She wrote 15 books, including “The Art of Simple Food” (a “New York Times” bestseller) and the autobiography “Coming to my senses: the making of a counterculture cook”.
