Professor at the Soil Science Department of Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, and at USP Piracicaba, and President of the Fundação para a Conservação e a Produção Florestal do Estado de São Paulo

Professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP) and head of Fundação Florestal do Estado de São Paulo (SMA-FF). At USP, he coordinates GeoLab, a geoprocessing laboratory that develops strategic and spatial intelligence concerning the agriculture-environment interface. At Fundação Florestal, he coordinates several initiatives such as the implementation of the Forest Code in the state of São Paulo; forest restoration programs; and international representation. He also presides the foundation’s superior council.
